RCN Capital, LLC is a national, direct private lender providing time-sensitive, bridge financing to real estate investors to fund the purchase of non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties, provide bridge loans, and provide real estate-backed lines of credit. We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data models that support our internal and external reporting needs. You will also collaborate with other BI team members and stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and solutions for our business

Job Responsibilities:
• Developing and maintaining ETL processes using Python and SSIS to extract, transform, and
load data from various sources, such as SQL Server, MySQL, Excel, Smartsheets, etc.
• Designing and implementing data models and schemas that adhere to best practices and ensure
data quality and integrity.
• Creating and optimizing queries, views, stored procedures, and functions to support reporting
and analysis needs.
• Developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards that provide clear and actionable
insights for internal and external users.
• Exploring and evaluating new data sources and technologies to enhance our data capabilities
and improve our data efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and resolving data issues and providing technical support as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:

Skills:
• Expertise in Python and SQL programming languages
• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes
• Proficiency in Power BI or other reporting tools and DAX language
• Knowledge of SQL Server and MySQL databases and optimization techniques
• Ability to work with Excel and Smartsheets data sources.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Exposure to AI or machine learning applications in BI domain preferred
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure or AWS preferred.
• Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts preferred
• Exposure to .net C# preferred.

Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI
• Hands-on experience with DAX
• 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles preferred.
• 2+ Experience with Power BI preferred
